After an exciting day on the lake, clean your catch in the "Fish Palace", complete with running water and a freezer for your catch. If you'd rather relax, your catch will be filleted, packed for export and frozen for you.
Each of our 9 lakes has great muskie fishing. This enables even the novice angler to hook a muskie with relative ease. The quantity and quality of fish here is abundant. Just being able to see the number of follows, even on a slow day is tremendous. We often see the average size muskie caught ranges from 35 45. Where some muskies topping the 50 mark!! We strongly encourage catch and release with all muskie.
The Chain offers one of the finest walleye fisheries in the north. Guests have little trouble catching their meal of walleye day in and day out. The abundant numbers of walleye caught are on average 2 4 lbs. Its not rare to hook lots of fish over 5 lbs. We have seen several live released fish between 10 13 lbs. We, and our guests are proud to actively promote catch and release, keeping our good spawners healthy, so that our lake remains productive for years to come!
The smallmouth fishery is becoming better and better every year. The Chain provides a lot of boulder reefs and rocky ledges which is perfect for smallmouth bass. Finding the fish can sometimes be trying, but once found they are plentiful. Size can average between 3 5lbs. Pound for pound, our smallmouth offer an exciting battle.
Lake Trout can be found in shallow water early in the spring. As the water warms up, the trout push down into some of our deeper lakes. A lot of fish caught range between 3 8 lbs. These fish will also provide a great struggle getting them landed.
